I do miss this neighbourhood. During several recent weeks in London, I found myself drawn back more than once. And then on the last day I was at St John for a chat with Trevor about all things hospitality and why insurance companies are bastards. I mentioned "Vic Naylor’s (of Glorious Memory)" and we went down a fabulous rabbit hole about a barman who lives in my memory as, so rude, it's like performance art.
Before it was Grind it was a branch of Strada which closed after a kitchen fire! For 30 years I’ve lived at one end of the street and work at ITN up the other end. Very happy to see Jackson there (although I do miss the QCH shop with its incredible salad boxes and giant sandwiches!)
