The Goodfellas parallel is doing so much heavy lifting here and it completely earns it — the racing interior monologue building toward the mathematically correct martini was exactly the right register for deadline-brain logic. What makes it great is that the punchline isn't that the math was wrong. The math was right. It just had no soul. The Daiquiri pivot is the real thesis: ritual is load-bearing. The imprecision IS the point. Anyway, solidarity from anyone who has ever stared at a perfect plan with the growing certainty it would absolutely not survive contact with reality.

Flattered. Thank you. It troubled me immensely in that a shithouse rat can’t actually lie, but I’m increasingly of the opinion that intentional slight illogic is going to be the only thing AI can’t do.

I genuinely read that as ‘Sometimes I think of deadlines like Harry Hill thinks of NYPD choppers’ and read on waiting for some particularly impressive connection to be made before backtracking
