The Goodfellas parallel is doing so much heavy lifting here and it completely earns it — the racing interior monologue building toward the mathematically correct martini was exactly the right register for deadline-brain logic. What makes it great is that the punchline isn't that the math was wrong. The math was right. It just had no soul. The Daiquiri pivot is the real thesis: ritual is load-bearing. The imprecision IS the point. Anyway, solidarity from anyone who has ever stared at a perfect plan with the growing certainty it would absolutely not survive contact with reality.

The oubliette para is the best sentence I've read all week. Uncorking a bottle in recognition.
